I had the pleasure of working with The PIE team from London on their massive 2-day The PIE Live 2023 Australia conference. This event was exclusively for professional international educators (hence PIE). It was held over 2 very full days at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach. The PIE delivers valuable news & insight, innovative events and exceptional recruitment expertise for the international education sector.

Delegates travelled from as far away as UK, India, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Kenya, Vietnam and many more nations. The PIE Live is focused on building connections amongst leaders leaders in international education from across the APAC region.

It was a full agenda. I had to cover off all the panels and presentations held simultaneously in the Main Arena and Breakout Room. Needless to say I covered a lot of steps over two days – my Fitbit loved me. Plus there were some great breakout sessions, networking times, and sponsored lunch and coffee breaks to shoot as well. It was so good to see so my faces from all over the planet enjoy wonderful GC weather and hospitality. 

On Monday evening the main arena at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre was transformed beautifully for the Gala Dinner. This was held after a drinks reception where every was able to swap the smart casual for some cocktail attire and let their hair down for a few hours. One of the highlights of the evening was definitely the live auctions to raise funds for the Shine With Skills Foundation. This incredible team is committed to equipping youths in Uganda and worldwide with knowledge and sustainable measures to poverty cycle.
